2008 NAIAS DETROIT  REPORT

We have just got back from Detroit and wanted to share some pics of upcoming cars and trucks. The new 09 Ram and F150s look like a massive improvement- particularly the ram. The 5.7 will deliver an extra 40 HP, the interiors are really much improved with heated steering wheels, rear unerseat cooling storage, the bed size has gone down with the cab size increasing. They have also deisgned some really cleaver bed rail storage and bed dividing systems. overall a big hit!!!

The F150 gets a more rugged aggressive external look and a bigger cab, with the interior re desugned for luxury and practicality.

The new Camaro is breathtaking and the Corvette ZR1 is quite incredible!!!

The Hybrid Escalade will be a big seller over here with huge fuel efficiency and emissions improvements and the Hummer HX -well lets just hope it happens!

Sadly Challenger was not at the show but will be at the Chicago show next week- watch this space!!!

The Ford Flex looks like an interesting one- a completely new SUV with up to 7 people. Very boxy and contemprary with great customising options, a very lavish interior and some great features. Could be a big hit over here. Expect a topo of the line car to be around the £30-35k mark so very good value
